What's this?
»  Crudely a set of links that are not directly work related, but that's wide enough to include some economics - and other things beside. Links to banks, airlines, trains and the other dross of online life are in the very boring practical stuff section.

Desktop > radio
» I've always preferred radio to TV and there are radios dotted around the house, including a small Sony walkman radio that I can listen to at night through earphones. Good quality speech radio after midnight (be it World Service or Radio 5) is a great innovation. My early morning listening is usually
Good Morning Scotland mixed in with the Today programme.

Desktop > economists
»  Economists can get a bad press, but not all of them are grey people with personality disorders. Brad deLong's
website is eclectic with a general macro / economic history theme, his semi-daily journal is even more eclectic. He's into science fiction too - even Iain Banks which is a little surprising.

» John Iron's argmax also includes an economics orientated blog. Sad? Paul Krugman must be unusual in having an official and unofficial fan site. Danny Quah is an LSE economist working on growth and the weightless economy. That alone means it is unsurprising that he has a website. Finally, Richard Florida is an interesting case study.
